Chevy springs, on road

I drive an 01 ex cab 4x4 4.0, pretty much stock at this point. I was about to put some 63 or 64" chevy springs in the rear, because I hear great things about their off road performance, and the set was offered to me for free. Then I thought real hard about it and realized that I only go off roading maybe twice a year.
So how are the chevy springs on road? 80% of the time my ranger is DD'ing on the highway. The other 20% of the time its hauling my motorcycle(s).
Will the chevy springs be too soft for me?
On one hand theyre known for flexibility, on the other hand theyre off a bigger truck than mine.

what else do you need to know.

If they are actually the best of both worlds, why dont all 1/2t and less trucks use them?

i absolutely love mine both on and off road. my pickup is a DD and trail rig, and when i did the swap it took me under 3 hours with bed removal (this is a must to give you room to operate)

my road manors are redickously smooth, i love it, they have a bit more bounce to them if you know what i mean, but if you have decent shocks that should take care of that issue. but note, using my stock blocks and the lift shackles i gained around 6” of lift, but i believe if you use your stock ranger shackles and remove your lift block you should negate any lift and remain at stock ride height. (This is NOT the rear mount flip method, this way you only move the front hangers, leaving the rear hangers alone) :icon_thumby:

The softness depends on the truck they came off of. i got mine off a 1500 2wd and they were stupid soft, so what i did was weave in 2 leafs from my old ranger pack and presto i got a great payload (probably 800lbs more) a smoother ride and great off road manors.

now if you get yours off a 4x4 or a one with 4-5 leafs you should be golden:icon_thumby:
