if i run a set of chevy lift shackles on my ranger will i need to upgrade shocks and if so what shock will i need to run

chevy lowering shackles not lift shackles

well had alot of things going threw my mind sorry lowering shackles but to the point what kinda shocks do you guys run with your shackles because i dont know what ones will work with the lift

what your application of vehicle?

basically you'll want a 2" longer shock then stock, you can call Duff and give your application. Or if you want to get your shocks from a local place like napa. Then let me know what your application is and i can go through the book and find the part numbers for slightly longer shocks.

Not sure if it's correct, but here's what I've gathered.

2wd and 4wd leaf springs are the same (supposedly)

4wd's get their little extra height from a 2" block. 2wd's do not have these.

So if the shackle net's you roughly 2" lift over stock 2wd (no blocks), then technically a stock 4wd shock of the same year should fit fine.

That was my plan for getting the rear 4wd height for my '97.

I have the shackles you're talking about and my stock shocks seem fine...

sorry for not giving more details its a 08 2wd ford ranger with 6400 belltech shackles i think cant rem and im not home
