Chevy leaf question

I currently have a 4” lift with 1 3/8” spacers under the front coils to level it out. Last weekend I came across a set of chevy 1500 leaf springs so I want to use them along with the belltech shackles to get rid of my stacked block situation in the rear(stock 2” blocks under 3” blocks). I’ve read somewhere here (maybe in the tech library) that the chevy leafs give you 3” of lift and the belltechs give you an 1 ½” …so on to my questions, does the chevy leafs and 6400 shackles really lift a total of 4 1/2"s? if so how do I make up the ½” that I’m loosing without lowering the front? or should I just leave the stock 2" block and stuff 6" coils in the front to level it out again?

It all depends on how bagged out the springs are.

Mine are out of an 88 chevy and are pretty soft. I'm running an extended shackle, chevy leaves, and the stock block for match my 5" of lift up front. But I also have about an extra 300lbs on the back of the truck because of my custom box.

so my best bet would be just to install 'em and see what it ends up being...the leafs are out of a 88 as well but I have no weight in the back so I might end up sitting a little higher with the blocks...all in all I guess as long as its + or - an inch or so it'll look fine:icon_thumby:

Either way they are an excellent upgrade both ride wise and flex wise.
