Im changing my ranger over to a mild prerunner, two tracker.

But my main question is do the springs have to be from a 2wd or 4wd does it matter??

Also whats a good reanch to have??

I plan on fliping the shackle and keeping the box so i think ill have to cut it for the shackles so they dont hit the box right?

I didn't have time to reread the first link, for the shackle I'm going to try a shackle mount from a 1997 f-150. It looks to me to mount the shackle eye a few inches lower than a stock one. That may allow enough room for the shackle flip with-out box cutting.
The second link is broken.

i would rearch the springs to 12" as long as there 64" long and 2.5" wide I dont see why 4x4 or 2x4 would make a difference... Make a custom shackle mount to provide yourself with the desired lift, use a 7" shackle this is all the most common stuff i have seen..
