I have two cherry bombs an i was wondering if i can put two cherry bombs on one pipe an it be even louder..what would it sound like on a v6 straight piped?Im taking the cadie off and the muffler off then doing that, theyre

I had a Cherry Bomb on my 2.9, and it was pretty loud. Just the Y-pipe and the C-B. Got a warning for it, too. Ended up putting on a "real" muffler. Tailpipe yet to come.

Mufflers don't add sound......they might change the exhaust sound, but adding extra mufflers, especially on the same pipe, won't make it louder. Should have the opposite effect, actually.

The first muffler cuts the sound down somewhat, and the second one will just cut that sound down too.

Don't you have a head gasket leak to worry about? I'd focus on that before I'd make it louder. If it runs like sh!t, the cherry bomb is going to amplify that sound. Then you'll just have a loud truck, that hardly runs. Not very impressive in my opinion.

So your cutting off the catalitic converter eh? I don't like that as I am an emissions guy.

If you live in a state with testing your going to fail without it. And if you cut it off you fail in my book as you should do your part to keep it clean.

Now if you are making it a trail only truck and it wont ever see pavement, I say go for it. :icon_thumby:

Two Cherry Bombs on one pipe would be quieter than one.

When I got my 87 with a 2.9 it had no exhaust past the cats....I installed a new mid pipe and used a long Cherry Bomb (31") with a 45 deg angle pipe on the end of it. Loud? No. I can hear it and it sounds good but it's nowhere near "loud". The long glass packs do a decent job of keeping the noise down and have a deeper sound then the short ones. It runs just fine, last time I checked MPG is was getting 22 and thats only 1 mpg lower than what was new.

v6s with glasspacks sound retarded. worse than ricers with fart-cans

With a V8 a glasspack and a cat has a nice subtle tone to it, perfect for a dd IMO.

Hahaha :icon_rofl:

I swear one of these days I'm gonna rip this guy out of his car who rides around with a glass pack in. He doesn't even wait till hrs on a main street. He floors it and BOOM!! Don't worry buddy this isn't my 2 yr old sons nap time. I hate idiots with no respect. Makes me wanna get a diesel and burnout 2 used 33 inch tires infront of his house at 11pm

i also left out that v8s with glasspacks sound cheap. and cookie-cutter.

A straight up answer to the question...:icon_thumby:

I am pretty sure the O.P. was asking a simple question, I don't believe it required any personal opinions on cat removal or sound quality of V6's with glasspacks. "To each, his own".................................. :icon_cheers:

Lol question was answered so stuff got off topic hehe

There's a straight piped F-150 rolling around campus today - an '04+ style black 4wd. It sounds terrible.
