Opinions vary, personally I can't stand the echoyness of a flowmaster. A turbomuffler isn't as bad, they seem quieter.

Still say try a glasspack with the cat... it will not have the steriotypical glasspack sound (which on a semi related note I like on a V8)

At this point a flowmaster is just as cookie cutter as a glasspack.

Don't you have a head gasket leak to worry about? I'd focus on that before I'd make it louder. If it runs like sh!t, the cherry bomb is going to amplify that sound. Then you'll just have a loud truck, that hardly runs. Not very impressive in my opinion.

yes i have a head gasket problem, but i got the pipes for free off a 70 dodge challanger an theyre loud.

I swear one of these days I'm gonna rip this guy out of his car who rides around with a glass pack in. He doesn't even wait till hrs on a main street. He floors it and BOOM!! Don't worry buddy this isn't my 2 yr old sons nap time. I hate idiots with no respect. Makes me wanna get a diesel and burnout 2 used 33 inch tires infront of his house at 11pm

only a seriously easily impressed person would go far enough to use the word "badass" to describe the sound of glass packs. so what word would you use to describe borla on a finely tuned v8?

Agreed again. My B2 had a cherry bomb glass pack on it when I bought it. It sounded horrid. So when I did my motor swap I happen to have a turbo muffler sitting here and it is exactly what I wanted. Barely louder than stock. There is no "Everyone look at me take off cause my exhaust annoys you".

Agreed. I have a cherry bomb turbo muffler, for how small and cheap it is, it quieted it down nicely (Hey, my radio does work!). It actually dosen't sound so bad either.

The popping sound is the lanyard clicking against the camera, and I was feathering the throttle to run out the gears longer. The tailpipes didn't last as long as the glasspacks (thanks to the cats) so after 4 years and 40k miles it is due for a repeat exhaust, I love the sound.
