Hey all,

I am an American stationed in Germany, and I stumbled across The Ranger Station several weeks back when I was researching a truck I was thinking about buying from a guy stationed in Chievres, Belgium.

So anyway, I bought this truck sight unseen after exchanging some e-mail and pictures with the guy in Belgium. I took the train up this past weekend and drove it back to Germany.

I was not disappointed...this thing was in showroom condition with only 26,000 miles on the clock, fully loaded, and he said he never had it off road, and it looks like it.

Here she is all her beauty. My, new to me, 2003 Ford Ranger FX4 Level II.

This is my first Ford truck, and so far I reall like it, except for the gas mileage.:icon_surprised:

Anyway, I look foward to meeting new people, learning about my new truck, swapping lies and sharing some beers with everybody. :icon_cheers:

oh man if i was in europe i would have gotten something that you cant have here!!!!! welcome to the forum!!! im sure that you will enjoy the company...

Are there any differences in the truck and the ones we have here? It looks exactly the same as a Level II you'd find in the U.S. Maybe the emissions are different? Just curious. 4.0 V6?

The truck is a US specs. I am an American stationed in Germany, the guy I bought it from purchased it in Texas and the Airforce shipped it to Belgium when he got transferred there.

It does have the 4.0 V-6. I like the engine, seems really strong and solid.

I looked at a couple of Euro Spec trucks, specifically the Mitsubishi L200. That, my friends, is a sweet truck with a real sweet, torquey diesel engine.

But, I wanted something I could ship back stateside when the time comes to head home.

No I knew you were an American stationed there...I just figured it wouldn't meet European emissions since they're pretty tight over there. Good find though!
