Was looking for something else when I ran across this gem. Think it happened in the PNW coming thru a snow squall. Might explain why they didn't feel the extra drag or see the smoke. Must have dropped back in gear or ??? Forget why they had to remove the springs, got that far down?

I guess that's one way to install a lowering kit LOL. Its amazing the number of people who tow things that have no clue that they 1. lost what they were towing, 2. its falling apart, 3. its not secured.

I've seen that pic floating around the 'net some years ago. I seem to recall something about maybe forgetting to take it out of Park and releasing the parking brake. :icon_surprised:

Definitely a good idea to check. Had my bike flop on the trailer about a year ago because a strap worked itself loose. Didn't stop to check it cause I was only going about 30 miles, it came loose on the last turn before my driveway. On a trip to PCB with the same bike, different trailer, the trailer popped off the ball. Ball was right size it just got in too much of a bind pulling out of an odd driveway at McDonalds and it popped loose. Saw it immediately, but to late to save the wiring. On a trip to PCB before that with my parents dad had the emergency brake cable on his 5th wheel camper come loose. Lets just say that the brakes on the camper definitely worked.

All that said WTF were those people thinking?

I've seen pics of the same thing, but with a suburban.... Yay for 5-600hp diesel pusher motorhomes hahaha

Guy I worked with once forgot to lock his gooseneck while towing his boat. We would constantly ask about his dents on the bed rails. He was a master chief so he got us back in the end.

Sent from the road while ignoring traffic

Ah, life on the road. I couldn't count the number of things I've had to swerve (I didn't say the five letter bad word...D_D_E...Yay me!) to miss.
OP is correct in admonishing readers to check their towed objects, and for that matter, what's in your truck bed.

I was make it a habit to pull over and check things after a few miles...

Geez you would have thought they would have saw the huge amount of smoke coming from the back of their towing vehicle, maybe they don't have rear-view mirrors LOL.
