Well a few days ago i picked up a bumper for my ranger, It used to be on a 2nd gen ranger and was custom built by the previous owner. It needs a few repairs and I'm going to take a wire wheel to it and get a nice coat of Rock guard. I need to get the brackets modified to get it working right on my ranger. So right now it sticks out 3" and I'm wanting to get it pushed in 3" but my body mount is in the way. I was thinking of just cutting out the bottom rivets on the mount and used bolts that would go through the bumper brackets and body mount brackets. Here is some pics of it bolted up with the brackets as it.

Nice and beefy, i plan to get a stinger bar welded on.

I got some of my lights mounted and wired up on it, I also got rid of the 3" gap that there was and im still working on fixing the brackets so that it doesn't point up like it is.

Im also getting a stinger bar welded on the bumper in a couple weeks.

Enjoy the pics, Open to ideas.

the bumper weighs about $100 or more, its a heavy sucker. But i had a bush bar on the front. so it has a little more wieght up front but i have also needed to lift the front to level it out. around 1.5" to level it. So thats next on my list.

looking good! now clean that thing up,and get a winch mounted on it!

LOL i just noticed now that i said $100....i must have been tired. Ya i plan on taking it off again and getting rid of the whole tilt effect. Clean it right up and give it a couple coats of rock guard. It has a few spots that need to be re-welded and such but nothing to major. I need to finish the winch plate. It has one started in the bumper and right behind my license plate is the whole for the cable. Like i said it still needs some work but i like it. Will look good when i rock guard the whole truck. Im going to get the front leveled out in the next couple weeks, fix the brackets and clean the bumper up!

I will have lots of pictures when its done!

nice looks good, how many poeple helped you get it on? and as for the body mounts yeah knock out the rivets and use bolts cause the bumper sits behind the mounts then you will have the full effect of the bracing for strength

\does anybody know if a edge bumper will fit my 93 xlt ranger 2x4 or any other popular front bumper swaps..?:icon_welder:
