Have a Check Engine Light that will not go off. Ran a diaognostic and determined EGR was sending signal. Pulled off EGR and sprayed with brake cleaner (heavy carbon) which freed up the rod so the rod would travel back and forth when vacuum applied to the system. (had negative bat. cable off) Did not get rid of light. Then replaced EGR Sensor that attached to the EGR Valve (neg. cable off) Nothing changed. Traced vacuum line from EGR Valve to an EGR Solenoid located on the Left Side of Fender next to heater hoses.
There is two vacuum lines and a wiring harness (2 wires) going into this unit. When I take off the green vacuum line from the EGR Valve, there is a faint amount of vacuum. The Red vacuum line has a stronger vacuum. I took a piece of vacuum hose and attached it to the EGR valve with the engine running and created a vacuum with my mouth that caused the engine to start running rough, but it canceled the "Check Engine" light. As soon as I released the vacuum, the engine smoothed out and the light came back on. Is there a test I can perform for the EGR Vacuum Sensor and or solenoid, to determine if this unit is working properly or its something else. I am sure there is someone in our listening audience that has or had a similar problem. I am really open for suggestions. Thanks In Advance:pray:

I've had troubles with the Egr sensors on several occasions. EVP sensor to be exact. You may be able to buy just the sensor. You may be able to "borrow" a known good one from something else, just to see if that fixes it.

Thanks Mutant Pony or should I say...Grasshopper, I will check today and see if I can find a EVP Sensor. Will let you know if this corrects the problem.
