i have a 2007 ranger 4.0 4x4 auto i keep getting the annoying cel for a po171 code for lean condition bank 1 ive changed fuel pump fuel filter all o2 sensors spark plugs cleaned maf checked for broken wires and replaced the intake gaskets and it still pops up anywhere from an hour after clearing it or a week i just want it fixed cause i hate that light on the dash and i should mention it has 115000 kms on t and no warrantyany help would be awesome

Check for vacuum leaks...the PCV elbow on the RH valve cover is the usual suspect.

Lean codes rarely ever mean an o2 sensor problem.

i will do that tomorrow if not that can you think of anythin else ?

Same Problem on an '01

It was the PCV 90 degree hose. I replaced the whole assembly. Thought the plastic piping might have gotten brittle after so many years.
