So I noticed that when I start my truck my check engine light doesn't turn on (I think it suppose to cycle those lights when key is first turned from what I have read on here). And I don't think my ABS light works either. Oh and my gas light doesn't work. Could this all be a fuse issue?

that is where I would start looking. one light doesn't come on, could be a bad bulb. two or more, probably a fuse. everything else on the cluster work>?

what works- dash lights, speedo and ive seen my heat temp gage go up a little after driving but I never goes all the way down when the engine is cool (always sits at 3/4 spot).

what doesn't work- check engine light, check oil light and battery light, gas gage, voltage gage and I dont think I have seen the oil gage move either.:dunno:

On a 92, all those could be worn out.

very true, but I am assuming (yeah I know what happens when you ASSuME..) that the issue for all of the items came up at once... even as a 92 I would be thinking that there is a single issue tied to the failure of all of the bulbs/ guages. if one thing quit, then a few weeks/ months later another thing quit, and so on I would say yeah, they just wore out. all at once, probably fuse, bad ground, loose connector to the instrument cluster, aliens pointing a death ray at the truck etc..

ok so my battery light does turn on and turns off when i start my truck (Im a dummy). First I will check my fuses, I have a haynes manual for the truck. now i need to learn how to read the electrical chart in the back to i can follow it on my truck.

as far as alien death rays at my truck... I think they are just signaling to me that I need to learn my own electrical shenanigans. turning nuts and bolts is the easy part.
