cheap ideas for improveing power

ohh so an electic fan and lighter pulleys will give u a decent increase in power. but it would be frred power, cuz u reduce the power drag on the engine

You know, I must say that this is the first forum that I have read from start to finish. Im not even going to get into any of it because I'll be honest, once everyone started useing the big words and posting papers with scribbles all over them.....I was lost. To go back to the beginning, there was a couple small things I did to my ranger to give a little noticable gain. First I removed that stupid baffle in the stock air pipe, tightened up the throttle cable (which gained nothing besides gave me full throttle again) and seafoamed her. The biggest difference was after my timing belt broke. Once I put a nice new tight belt on and re-timed it, she now runs like a brand new truck.

i removed the restrictions on the intake too, also did a complete tuneup, did the zip tie mod, and a few days ago did a complete sensor cleaning, runs really nice now
acelerates faster and improved the mileage
btw, i was lost on all those theorems too lol:icon_twisted:

One thing I want to try next for my truck is doing a little machine work to my head. I dont want to turbo it but soon as this one blows, a v8 will replace it. So for the mean time, I was thinking to take the head off, machine it down a smidge and do a gasket match. Might even replace my springs. My buddy is a machinest and can do it for almost nothing so its no big deal. Plus she is starting to rattle uner the cover so I think its time.
