The striker on the drivers door is missing the bushing.

$2 home depot for 1/2 pex.
Measured cut off a length.
Cut on side of the tube
Slip it over the striker.

Failed. The door basically tore it up.

Real part ordered from Lmc

It was worth a shot, and you wouldn't know if it would work until you tried it. Nothing wrong with trying.

Interesting...

I have used PEX to replace those on several vehicles now. Cheap PEX takes a beating but usually fits without fuss. Rehau PEX holds up really well but it is too thick and you have to sand it down some.

The only time I have started to really tear it up was with my F-150 because the door pins are shot and the cab has a bit of sag to it. Since it’s badly misaligned it started tearing things up, but the Rehau hasn’t shredded yet, just took a beating

Well I guess I'll know shortly. I found a "old school" mechanic who will rebuild my door. I dont have the patience.

Will let you guys know.
