Charging Problem

I have a 92' ranger 4x4 with a 4.0 and I had it in the shop to have a coolant leak fixed and the WP and TC done at the same time, I got it back on Thursday and drove it a little and went to start it up on Friday and the batery was dead. I jumped my truck and then drove it for about a half hour came home put it on the charger until it was fully charged again and the battery dies again, then I took it over and had it tested they said the battery was fine, but the alternator was not working and everything was running off of the battery. I checked for loose conections, check bolts for tightness and checked it for power all were fine, could it have been hooked back up wrong? I have to wait until tuesday to take it back to the shop, but I was hoping to fix it before then, not having a vehicle for three days sucks? Any ideas what else I can check?

If it were my truck and it didnt have starting problems before they worked on it, I'd disconnect the battery and call them to pick it up tuesday. If they tried to give me the song and dance I'd tell them to expect calls and/or interviews from the local news concerning their customer service.


Moreover, if it's worked on before they look at it they can blame the owner.

yeah I am not going to do anything to it, I just tested a few things with the volt meter hoping it was something easy, but it makes me mad to pay all that money to have something fixed and end up with another problem and on a three day weekend with no truck!
