I am attempting to remedy a 1443 code, in doing so I'd like to replace the tubing, but what size is it?

I think it was 3/16" on my brother's 93 ranger. I think the fuel line was 5/16."

I ran by autobone today and picked up some 3/16 tubing. It appears that the tubing used for the vapor system is different. The inner diameter of the tubing is larger than normal it seems. I was able to fit one piece on with some coaxing but I'd like to get some appropriate tubing for it. Anyone know where to pick it up?

I used 2 different sizes of tubing and connected them with a small plastic adapter. You can buy a pack with several different size adapters for just a couple bucks at AutoZone (or similar place). Just ask to see the vacuum line fittings.
