Changing rotor--removing cap

I'm trying to replace my front passenger rotor in my 94 2wd manual ranger. I've done this a few times on other (GM) cars, but this is my first ford. I watched a few videos to make sure nothing was too extremely different, so I thought I was prepared. I've taken off the tire, decorative hubcap, and the brake calipers. Now the stupidest thing is stumping me. There is a metal cap covering where I expect the center hub bolt to be. I can't seem to pry or twist off this cap.

Every video I've watched does not encounter this.

Any help?

Pull harder. The cap just pops out.

Get a big screw driver. Lay it sidewise on the edge of the cap against the hub. Give the shank a tap with a hammer. That will drive the cap out off the hub.

Thanks

I'll brute force it. Should've just stuck with that method to begin with.

I like to grab the end with a pair of slip-jaw pliers and just rock it out. But the screw-you driver works too.
