Are you just doing cat-back? If you just do catback, then its not really going to matter what the size the y-pipe is. Are you redoing the entire exhaust or...???

i don't have a cat.. it was removed before i bought it. i'm going to run new pipe from the y & put a delta flow 40 muffler on it

id stay at 2 2 1/4 if you want it for sound.. i straight piped mine with two and a quarter and i wish i would have went with 2 and an eigth. i lost some low end nuts
