Any pointers on how to do it?

I was under my truck last night and noticed I have a small hole on the DS, the rounded part where the footwell meets the tranny hump.

Best to just get a pan and cut out where the hole is or to do the whole thing? And/or how to tell if it needs the whole thing? (or the other side while I am at it?)

im just throwing this out there, start taking out your carpet, or vinyl in your truck and check the flooring. if the floor pan looks like its starting to bubble up or chipping or you can see obvious signs of rust, its gotta be fixxed. im having the same issue in mine, but mine is much worse. if its a tiny hole you could probably by some sheet metal and patch it and call it a day, if its too big you might have a harder time tying to fix it.i dont have any experience welding or anything yet so i cant help you there.
