Howdy everyone!

I used to frequent the forum when I was fixing up my '83 Ranger 4x4 2.8L but it's been a long time and sold that rig.

Now I have a 2011 4x4 extended cab. Just bought it yesterday. She's a bute! Only 5500 miles on her!

Anyway, to my question.

What about changing the computer chip for better performance and fuel economy? Does that really work? What are the pros and cons?

Ran across this on the net: http://www.gfchips.com/fordranger.aspx

This would be for future reference as the vehicle is still under warranty.

Dont waste your money. Rather than using those cheap chips that claim "60hp" and "20mpg" you are better off with an actual tuner. They are more expensive but they actually work.
