i changed my spark pugs and wires today i have a 2000 ranger 2.5 l with the 8 plugs.. i had to take the intake off to get to the back two after i put everything back together i started it up and its running really rough i set the gap space correctly and put the spark pugs in the right firing order?? anybody help me maybe a vacuum leak?? thanks

I'd be looking at what you unplugged, unboltted, and had to put new gaskets on - the stuff you took off, I know it's vague, but that's all I got. You could have cracked a vacuum hose.

Doesn't sound like a vac leak. that would cause a high idle not a rough one. Double check they are in the correct order and all the plug wires are snapped down.

..

thats what i was thinkin... usually a vacuum leak causes a high idle but when i let the car idle i can here what sounds like a vacuum leak i made sure the firing orders were good... could a tiny vac leak cause spuddering??

a vac leak causes high idle AND rough idle if it runs too lean.

I had that issue when I did the plugs on mine, turns out one of the new plugs was bad. With dual plugs it didn't cause a misfire but it did cause it to run a little different.

Try running each set of plugs on their own and see if you get a misfire. One less thing to worry about if they're all firing.
