I have been running bucket seats for a while and built a center console out of wood to mock up my ideas to see how I liked the layout.

After using it I liked the layout. A few changes were I dropped the lid an inch, made it slightly wider, made the cup holders slightly larger in diameter and a bit deeper, add a latch and lock.

With my dimensions figured out, I fired up the computer and drew all the parts out. Then sent it to my plasma table and had it all cut out.

All of the pieces fit together using rivets. Each hole is aligned with the corresponding piece and install the rivet. The only bolts used are for holding the hinge lid in place. Each of the white spots are rivets. You can also see the two cup holders and the cutouts for seven rocker switches.

Once I got it painted I installed it in the truck.

Here you can see how easy it is to reach switches for lights and other accessories. It also allows easy access to the latch and lock.

There is a lot of room for storage with over 850 cubic inches of space in the large compartment.

I also added bungee cord to each side of the box to hold the seat belt latch to keep it from falling down between the seats.

Nice.

I like it. The construction looks very sturdy. Nice job!

I like that design and lay out of the switch panel. what was your idea for the space in front of the switches behind the transmission shiftier?

Beacause I could. Really didn't have an idea for it. Right now I toss my cell phone there and clip my hand held radio to the side.

Words cannot describe how much I wish I could buy one of these things. That is beyond awesome, great work!
