I have a regular center console out of an Explorer with the same interior color scheme as my Ranger, and it's out of an automatic.
This however, means that when I have something in the drivers side cupholder I can't shift into 2nd and when I have something in the passenger side I can't get to reverse!
I saw a picture of someone's Ranger on here (can't remember when/where/who) but their center console looked almost the same, except the cupholders sat a lot lower and it went all the way up to connect under the dash. It went all the way around the shifter, enclosing the shifter boot and everything.
Did older Explorer's with a manual transmission come with a different center console? Or was this some custom fab work? I got the center console from a junkyard, for like $10 IIRC. Changing it out isn't a big deal to me, and I can always re-sell it on eBay or to someone else on here. Just trying to get some cupholders that I can use while I'm driving!
