Ok, so I know how strict every state is now on emmissions but I heard form a friend during a little convo on exhausts that trucks can legally run with no cats (makes sense to me because Georgia is very relaxed on truck laws, up until last year you didn't even have to wear a setbelt in one), I've tried some googling and didn't find anything to outright confirm this, just general information pertaining to automobiles in general.

Anyone know a source to find a solid answer on this one? Or happens to know the answer?

It is a FEDERAL law...it does not vary state to state.

If the vehicle was equipped from the factory with emissions equipment (catalytic converters) they must have them.

I'd rather ask an obvious question than do a modification that would end in a possible impound and.or a hefty fine without double checking. lol

That's only why there is a sticky thread about it at the top of the forum. :icon_twisted:
