:annoyed:so my girlfriend's cat is being realy funky? been at my girlfriends house for few hours and the stupid cat is laying in the cat box....it does have a new type of cat littter....why would she do this?:annoyed:

it will correct itself when it breakes the new litter in

I'm assuming the litter is unused?

I've heard to leave a little something in there (which I always thought was silly and have never had a problem with it). Maybe there is something to it?

Or it's just looking for someplace cool (temperature) to sleep..

:icon_confused:

I guess for the moment I'm with adv5500

As funny as it sounds.............all kidding aside, keep an eye on kitty & make sure he/she is actually able to urinate. If kitty stays there a long time & starts to wander around the house into corners or meowing a lot & acting funny, keep checking the box to see if he/she is actually "going".

My cat was acting this way & come to find out he could not urinate do to a buildup that causes a blockage in their lil thingy. It is a very serious thing & he spent several days at the vet & has to eat special food. They have to do a procedure at the vet that is very unpleasant! :icon_surprised:

I am not a veterinarian & it may not be that, just sharing an experience.

Yeah, its called urinary stones when that happens.

Is it laying, or sitting in the box?
Laying, they do that sometimes with fresh litter because its cool, and somewhat soft.
Sitting, you may have a medical issue.
