I have a 94 Ranger super Cab with 4L and the mechanical (non-electric) BW transfer Case. The shift linkage had been getting sloppy and the 4WD light would come on when it was in 2WD, and getting to stay where I wanted it was impossible. My mechanic has diagnosed that the linkage bushings are shot, and that they aren't made anymore. Is this true? With all the aftermarket mods out there for 4WD systems, can these be found anywhere, of do I need to comb junkyards? Are these parts shared with any other vehicle? HELP PLEASE!

Ford had the same bushings on up to the '03 Fx4 LII with manual case...I bought new bushings a few months back for my manual tcase swap in my '01. I only needed the maint pivot that slides onto that piece connected to the case itself(or bolted to the shift rail) and the longest part of the linkage slides onto it(the bushing). Ran me about $10 from the Ford dealer.

Explorers and BroncoII's used the same linkage bushings as the Rangers used, regardless of what transfer case it had(BW1350 or BW1354).
