I looked around but surprisingly didn't see any threads. Anyone have experience with Carquest starters in their mid 90s Ranger? Specifically I'm looking at a 3271SN here locally as I don't have time to wait for a Rock Auto shipment this time.

Thanks!

Yeah, that, and where the heck you finding a CarQuest starter from in Portland anyway? Is there some discount store somewhere? All the Advance stores went out months ago...

I'd put that up in the range of the higher end store brands, decent chance of quality but like anything a chance of a dud...

Not sure how good carquest is, but i got a duralast gold one from autozone and it runs great, and has a lifetime replacement warranty so I'll never need a new one.

Welp, I'm a dunce. The Carquest starter I bought did not fit. I swear I double checked. Picked up a WAI at my local battery shop and I'm back on the road.

That warranty works. The alternator I got from Autozone for my F-150 lasted 10 years. They warrantied it out, no problem. I warranty their brakes all the time.
