TRS Event Carlisle Truck Nationals August 2-4, 2024

Keep me posted but I’m diabetic so I try to keep fairly consistent mealtimes. If not, don’t worry about it. Cell 724-624-1195.

Correct, just tell them your club is The Ranger Station when you register. We are in the Non-Judged Showfield if you don’t care about being judged.

On dinner, I walk with the big D as well, so I understand. I’ll try and remember and post when I leave which would set the ETA, but certainly don’t wait on me. I’m not the best communicator when I’m on the road And driving a stick shift. And I love it, but I really pay attention when I’m driving with that long trailer. Still not quite used to it.

Are we all parked with each other in the red circle?

Yes. There was plenty of room for everyone who attended as well. Even with Rick's Ranger Semi.

dinner update, I already know I’ll never get out of here early enough to meet for dinner at six, so proceed on without me

It looks like I’m only going to be able to make it out there for Saturday. Between the work on the new house and the new position at work, I’m just too busy to spend 3-4 days in another state. So my plan is to head out there really early on Saturday, spend the day there, then drive home Saturday night.

I’m set up in the campground. Space 216. The spots where me, @sgtsandman , and @snoranger were last year are level now. They built decks with permanent tents on them. Meantime I’m eyeing the cabins with air conditioners.

We are in the same spot as last year. I hung the flag in case there are early arrivals before me. I hung it sideways from the tent frame using the grommets. I might be able to hang it horizontally and scrunching the upper corner with a zip tie and attach a second one to the tent frame. I will wait for Chief Flag Expert @sgtsandman and get a second opinion tomorrow. I brought a folding table.

Y'all have fun. Wish I could have squeezed that trip into the schedule.

Good enough. We’ll look for ya.

Since I plan on testing out the truck bed camping concept, It took longer than expected to quickly rig up some "curtains" for the side and rear windows as well as a screen for the slider in the front window of the cap. I used some super sticky velcro on the fabric and the cap walls. I suspect they may only last this trip, maybe a couple more but will be good enough for now.

Anyway, the truck is packed and ready to go but looking at the late hour and the length of the drive, I won't be getting up at 0430. I'll text @JohnnyO , @snoranger , and @Rick W when I leave. That should be about 0730 at the latest.

I'm dragging the utility trailer with me but it's empty. So, it shouldn't slow down progress any.

Truck bed camping can have long lasting consequences. My first child should by rights be named Coleman Ram. And the second should be named Ozark Trail Ram. God speed...

I had a little trouble that I’ll tell you guys about, no biggie, but I probably won’t be there until 930 or so. My buddy Paul is coming to meet me, us, if he makes it first, please greet him.
