I have put a 351W with a carb in my truck but it will not kick over with the key. Any Ideas for solutions?

You don't have it wired correctly...

Didn't connect the battery...

Clutch switch...

Bad starter...

Blown fuse...

Bad fusible link...

Ignition switch bad...

Seriously... you have to give us more info

Fender relay (solenoid) not wired correctly. Battery to one big end, starter to other big end, small end is wire from start circuit.

Depends on the starter, later ones have constant 12v with just a switched wire going to the starter to activate it.

so currently I have the starter wire into a stock automatic trans wiring harness. the starter I am using is a power master unit. the ignition switch is fully functional as I have my fuel pump wired to turn on with the key. all fuses are good and intact I am just not sure since there is no ecu signal if there is a bypass I need to do in order to trigger the starer. Thanks for the help

Do you have a part number for the starter?

Its gotta have a neutral start switch/clutch switch in there somewhere too being a '99.

the auto gear selector is in the park position so the neutral safety shouldn't be a problem unless it triggers off the needle that shows what gear the truck is supposedly in, which I had disconnected. this is the starter

Powermaster Mastertorque Starters 9603

That sounds like...

Burger meister meister burger.

I couldn't get your link to work

Have you tested the starter by jumping from the battery post to the start terminal?

That's a good first step...

Usually do that on the bench before I think about installing it.
