well im thinkin about taking out my 2.0 carb motor n putting in a 2.3 fuel inj motor.can anybody tell me how hard/ how much it could cost to do that?or should i stay w/a carb. motor?

depends how much work you wanna get into, you would have to change the engine wiring harness, computer, also you would have to deal with the fuel pump,as the injected eng. has to have an elect.pump.so unless youre pretty handy,id keep it carborated.

well im a deisel mechanic n ive been working on vw;s for yrs i just dont know anything about fords n carb.im looking 4 the easiest thing to get more hp bc 2.0 that is in my truck now smokes n cant pull hills.

you could always put a 2.3 carb motor in it. sounds like your 2.0 is simply worn out, heck even rebuilding it would help you out. honestly, if i were in your shoes...i'd find a wrecked Ranger with a 2.3/5-speed and swap the entire thing over. you'd have all the stuff you needed, just have to swap it all over...
