I drive a 98 ranger 2.5l. In preparation for getting my inspection this month, I bought a code reader, because the previous owner disabled the doom light. I got a BUNCH of codes back, and realized they were all on one fuse, and likely due to a short. Turns out, the last time I dropped my trans, I crushed the connector for the forwerd o2 sensor. So I bought a Bosch o2 sensor, and the corresponding connector w/pigtail, and today I wired it up.
I just finished taking it on a 60 miles drive to get it inspection ready, and at the end of it, it kicked back the above codes, both related to the forward o2 sensor. I'm not sure what happened. The wires were all double checked against the wiring diagram, it's a brand new sensor, I don't know what could be wrong. Is there anything I'm overlooking? Any help is greatly appreciated.
