Hey all. I'm from Manitoba, Canada and I've got a 1998 ranger step side 2wd. I love my truck but don't know exactly what to do with it. All I know is that Ford's 2.5L is wayyy to slow...

how's it going? welcome to TRS, first and foremost post up some pics of the ranger.. it's a law! lol. photobucket will be your friend...

you'll like it here. lots of good info. look around a lot. check out the tech library for sure. and use the search function to... lots of info has already been discussed several times and you can find it faster than waiting on people to reply. if you can't find it then ask.. someone will answer or we will all just make up stuff and have a good time!

Welcome! lol. As for the engine not being sufficent, you could save and eventually swap in a new engine. The 4.0L is a good one. Also, re-gearing is a great way to gain power from even the smallest of engines. Either way you decide to go, we can definately help you out :icon_thumby:

Welcome fellow Canuck~

We do tend to make up quite a bit of stuff...lol...but mostly you get a good answer first...

Nice to see your from Manitoba as well :icon_thumby:
