All I know about this thing is it is an EFT ford motor, probably a mod motor. I have no idea what it came from or what size it is. Have no clue if is will run or was running when removed. The lady had it sitting in her husband's shop (he
passed a few years back) and is planning to sell it.

Can you ID this motor?

4.6L DOHC from a Lincoln Continental.

looks like a 4v 4.6 to me.

Duratech SHO. Most likely came out of a Taurs.

That ther is a V8

this is a V8 SHO engine..

SHO Taurus' are powered by Yamahas, not Duratechs.

Later model SHO's were 4.6L. Fast,fun cars.!!

looks like a lincoln 4.6 def not a sho motor ps res on a sho is not on the motor its on the fender

really I Owned 2 and never where they 4.6. the V8 that was in a SHO is a 3.8 front wheel drive. the other sho motors that I feel is much better is yamaha desined and built for ford is the v6 220hp 3.0l and 3.2l. just a heads up.

Looks like a 4.6 I helped a friend pull from a Lincoln.

The V8 Taurus was a 3.4 liter.

+1 on the 4.6 DOHC. I'd recognize those coil packs/ wide heads anywhere. And the majority of the DOHC came in lincolns as far as i know.

its prolly a 4.6 out of a rwd, continentals were fwd n had the ps res on the fender, it culd also be a 5.4

Will is most definatly correct. The later Tauruses (the '96-up taurus) were powered
by a UNIQUE narrow-angle V8 that was 3.4 liters displacement

NOT a 90degree 90degV 4.6.

the f-150's never had DOHC heads, the only things I can think of that came with a DOHC 4.6 or 5.4 are lincolns navigator, mark VIII and conti. the cobra mustangs

but I can't think of any ford motor that had the throttle body on the back of the motor... its almost looks like a GM LS motor because of the intake. Aren't most of the for mod. motors a two piece intake like an upper and lower ?
