As the title reads, has anyone found a way to fit a double din head unit?

It's been done. Basically it involves cutting/dremeling around the dash to increase the size from 1.8 DIN to Double DIN. I've never done it...yet (I want to locate some spare parts before I attempt so I don't screw up my dash,) but if you google it, I'm sure you'll get a lot of info.

A double din radio will fit. Check out metraonline.com or scosche.com for the double din dash kit you need to accomodate the new head unit.

All you need for the kits is a screwdriver to remove the radio bezel and screws holding the radio in, a panel popper, and a pair of plyers to remove any unneccessary tabs from the dash kit.

Both companies include detailed removal/installation instructions for the vehicles. A Ranger kit usually runs around $21.99.

its possible

Yup it is possible. i just put the pioneer avec d3 into my 08 which is pretty much the same. you cant really buy a kit for it exept the wiring harness there is no cutting the dash but the is 2 very small cuts you need to make on the panel as for setting the deck it needs to be custom i used 2 strips of metal and mounted them where the screw holes are that hold the panel in then measured the strips to the sides of the deck and screwed everything in. it worked great and it makes it almost impossible for theves to steal it. if you have anymore questions let me know...

Does anyone have install pics?

OK, so I have completed my intall. Fitting a double DIN is an easy job. A little has to be trimmed from the inside (which is not visable after the head unit is installed) of the dash slot. Use a dremmel with a cut off disc or a sharp OFLA knife. I used a scoche (sp?) dash kit which fit nice. Also if anyone is having troubles tring to view DVDs while on the road, ground the ebrake wire on the head unit and use a switch to interupt that wire. The new head units must be connected to ground then not connected to ground, hense the use of the switch.

im a little late but saw you wanted pics heres mine in a 95
