>> Can Tiger Patch Muffler Tape fix Duh HEATER Hose (Tee)?? NOPE!<<

I've used silicone self fusing tape on a thermostat housing/radiator hose that broke. It worked great and got the van home 15 miles without leaking.

Is that the stuff that's often dark-ish blue, about 3/4" wide, and is rolled up with a clear "separator" layer to keep it from sticking to itself? Any idea what it's "shelf life" is when bouncing around in a very hot truck?

This be the wunder-stuff?

Yea that's the stuff. I've kept the same roll in my truck for several years and it's fine. Then again I've also kept the same stick of water weld in my truck to for several years and that's still good too so I dunno what you do to stuff to make it go bad. :icon_rofl:

... so I dunno what you do to stuff to make it go bad...

In a word: HEAT... if your Lat-Long are correct, you have maybe 6 weeks/year of hot stuff... I have 11 months of it... I'm at Lat 26N, sun WAY stronger and my Ranger-rama is oven-BLACK. Epoxy starts curing in FL without any hardener at all... :(
