Hello to All,
Last Saturday I was driving home, got off the turnpike shifted from 2nd to 3rd let out on the clutch and screeched to a halt. $83.00 dollars later I'm home. Took to local garage to find out clutch shot. Tranny removed only to find out Tranny Shot. Found a MD05-R1HD out of a 2001 4.0 4X4. Can I put this Tranny in my 1994 3.0 4X4 with original MD05-R1? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nope. Bell housings are different.

4.0 will work with a 2.9 but the 3.0 is unique.

I just so happen to have a m50d for a 3.0 that I pulled for my 2.9. That's how I know that they're different. Ill sell it to you if you're willing to come get it lol
