Can I get this engine?

If you understood how finely balanced a typical steam locomotive is and just how low the rolling resistance of one is you'd join me in a big "so what"

THE problem is overcoming inertia to get it rolling, but frankly I've seen eight guys push a steam locomotive about the same size out of a storage shed.

i remember seeing Global Rangers in Mexico. That would probably be the closest place to find one. Would you get it with the 6 speed manual and the tcase too?

3.2 L I5 Duratorq diesel?

As far as I know they are not legal in the USA. They don't pass regulations. Maybe for an offroad vehicle only?

If you got the money you can get one... Would it be "legal" for on road use? Probably not. There's a reason the us doesn't allow the small trucks with diesels in it.
In some places about the only fuel you can consistently find is diesel; not the case here. As awesome as it'd be.... It's not gonna happen from a factory standpoint.

Can you get one? Yes... Do you have the import money and all that crap?! Idk. Just know it won't be cheap.

I read they have it in the ford transit as a normal engine option

Yes, it is available in the Transit (not to be confused with the little transit connect, which is available here.) which is not yet available in the states. It will be soon, its replacing the E-series van.
BUT, knowing Ford, the diesel wont be available to us when they do start producing it.

If you understand how finely tuned that ranger is, you would join me in a big "**** yea".

And I saw one guy, push a steam locomotive up three mountains.

Puny human Hulk say BS. Only he can move train by self.

Who cares about a 3.2; I'd be happy if my Ranger had the same 1.9L Diesel as my Volkswagen!

Hulk smash .........

Hulk pull train......

It might be available in diesel. The Transit line is basically the F-Series of Europe and diesel vans used to be quite popular here. The big reason you don't see them much these days is because the engineers finally had to admit that they found some ridiculously large and cluttered engine that they couldn't shoe-horn into a body that is much too cramped for it. In short, the 6.4 and 6.7 just don't fit.

Combine that with cab-off service being required for even some basic stuff makes a van body untenable at best.

I hope it is available here, but until Ford says it is, all we can do is speculate.

My old man ordered his '95 Club Wagon with the 7.3l, that motor was STUFFED in there! I would have loved to see them fit the newer diesels in there. :icon_rofl:
