Hi, looking at an 91 aerostar auto trans. Have a spare 2.9 and manual fm145 from my bronco ii. Will they fit into the aerostar smoothly? Will shifter hole cutout in the body match? Thank you!

The engine should fit, some did come with a 4.0l, should be plenty of room. Not sure if the shifter hole will line up, but it definitely won't hit the dash lol. Worse case it will be between the seats. What do you plan on doing for pedals? 5-speed aerostars were rare birds.
