I have enough trouble getting sinkers to work on my fishing line, lol

I tried using sinkers on mine years ago...problem was crimping them...well, more like getting my hand up in there with a pair of pliers to be able to crimp them...and the lead tends to flatten out a bit under pressure...

They do work though...if you can get around those issues...and the first gen dash has that removable panel so you can actually see what you are doing without crawling under the dash.

You can also use those cable ends made of brass, but you have to cut the end off the cable to get them on...and then you need to get a small screw driver up in there to tighten the screw...so it is a bit more work...

If you have big paws, use the zip tie(s).

i do have big paws and could not get zip ties up there sinker on the other hand was not a problem i just widened the opening (to allow for the cable diameter) then smashed with my fingers and just for good measure i did get a pair of slip jaw pliers up there to finish the job. also noticed that after that was done and cable was lubricated that the spring at the throttle side was not pulling the cable back all the way so i fixed by making spacer to compress spring just a little using a 1/2 inch long piece of 3/8 fuel line and splitting it down the side used a zip tie to retain my new spacer. ill get pics later

So...you used sinker AND a zip tie...you crafty devil.

Or you might catch a fish...just put a bobber on the exhaust and wait for a bite...:)
