So I've been to every shop around, even a transmission shop. No one has been able to identify it. I'm done with everything and am ready to put my transmission in but need to find what this switch is so I can put it on. If your sitting in the bronco it would be on the right side of the transmission, it then curls around where the shift lever is and plugs into the male end, which goes to the motor. If it helps there was what looked to be caulk around the switch I think to waterproof it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
PS - It came out of a 2.9 transmission.

Its the neutral sense switch and sub-harness.

Thank you, well I tried looking it up and can't even seem to find anything by that name either. Advance looked up everything they could in transmissions, and swtiches. There was a manual safety switch but that wasn't it either. Any other possible names to that switch?

I dunno, that is what Ford calls it. They seem to be hard to come by aftermarket though. It's honestly a pretty stupid and useless sensor, and they were eliminated on later models. The 98+ trans doesn't even have a provision for one. My suggestion is to just splice the ends of the two wires together and tape them up out of the way.

If the circuit isn't closed the truck won't start, but if it's fully closed (3 position switch) the computer will just assume the stick is in a gear while you are trying to start.
