Well basically what I'm asking.

Is it possible to clean it with gas and a wire brush and then have it function again? Thanks.

No. They can sometimes be cleaned with high heat using a propane torch (Bernzomatic) or acetyline torch. It doesn't always work, and is always a temporary fix. Be careful with the acetyline so as not to overheat or melt the thing. shady

Ok, thanks.

Guess I'm just trying to be cheap here as Christmas has wiped me out money wise and the sensor is like $50 bucks! Thanks again Shady.
