Ok here's the deal. I'm in the process of building my new motor and can't remember where the camshaft spacer goes in relation to the timing gear and woodruff key. The spacer is the beveled washer type thing. I'm pretty sure that it doesn't go on the outside face of the timing gear, but can't really recall. Unfortunatly the book isn't very clear on this one. So please help me with this one.

Thanks,
-Josh

Duh... I'm pretty sure it's a 2.8, at least that's where I listed it at. what other early 80's ford carbureted V6s came in the Ranger? Or for that matter how many of them are an Offy available for?

Yes it's a 2.8L V6 in a 1984 Ford Ranger hence the reason I put it in this forum.

If your refering to your thrust plate it goes before your timing gear.

I got that part, but there's a little beveled washer. I finally figured out that it goes inside of the thrust plate. The way I understand it the beveled side goes toward the block, and it is supposed to be slightly thicker than the thrust plate.
