Hi I recently bought a 91 4.0 ranger and the previous owner did a swap with another 4.0 that has a camshaft sensor but nothing plugged into it and no wiring harness to be found, truck runs fine except for an intermittent squeak coming from either clutch or that cam sensor area. The block has 90TM-6015-AB printed on it. How worried should I be?

You don’t need to worry about the cam sync not being plugged in... it’s not used on the early 4.0l engine.
The squeak... I’d look into that and fix it.

Thanks for the reply, so for the most part I can swap any ford ohv 4.0 in my ranger, regardless if it has a cam sensor, I ask because my current one is getting tired.
