Hi all-
306 Roller Block, GT40P Heads with Mild Port. FMX Transmission. Stock stall.
Going into 1985 2wd Ranger. 25" diameter tires. 3.55 rear.
I had been planning to go with a stock Mustang HO camshaft and keep the stock stall.
Before I pull the trigger on the purchase, would the E303, B303, or TFS1 provide substantially better performance with the above setup with daily driver type use?
Use is going to be majority stoplight to stoplight in a small town. No track time.
Under 2500rpm, will I just be looking at sluggish performance, or will it be enough to be an annoyance driving around a parking lot looking for a space?
Thanks in advance!

I think the E and B cams would be bigger than you'd want, don't know about the TFS. I'd look for something with no more than about 215 degrees intake duration at .050 with a lobe separation of 110-114 degrees. Big cams sound cool at cruise nights but an RV style cam works better for most street driving. If your cam is in good shape a set of 1.7 roller rockers would give you a little more lift for less money. I left the stock 95 F150 cam in my 351 and it's too small- but your stock Mustang cam is a lot bigger- something like 211 duration and .440 lift- mine is 184/192 duration and not much lift. I should have known better.
