So I want to build a sudo-prerunner that will look good but handle more like stock. My idea is to use Camburg's spindles and upper control arms but retain the stock spring and shock. It would get a 3" lift, wider stance, more durable spindle/arm and handle well. Along with some glass fenders I could probably run 33"s with some 2" blocks in the back. Any comments or suggestions?

if you just want the lift, go with doetsc spindles, cheaper.

if you use their upper, but not the coil you wont be able to align it. the upper is to counteract a longer coil. just get doetsch. i just bought them and they are built amazingly!

If my memory serves correctly when I was talking with camburg about options with their 5.5 kit you will not be able to use the stock springs or shocks.

cant run uppers with stock coils. i looked into that. doetsch spindles will give the apperance. not sure but i think fabtech is less expensive.

camburg deal

good day all;
i havea camburg 5 on 5 on my truck , so here's what i've learned ..

you need to get a hold of the camburg boys .. i'm pretty sure STOCK springs won't work in a 5 on 5 front end set up .... better check it out ..they have a new progressive set of front springs that are bomb... i have a set that i swaped with the original issued ones .. they are a great ride on the road& off road, well the name CAMBURG says it all ... the hunington beach boys got it going on ..
as far as aligment , all that we did was set the camber ..
then used a set of toe-plates and set the toe, and tha is that..
and my tires wear even as can be..
have a great day all =)
