EDIT- I messed up the title of the thread, I'm looking for differences between 94 & 97

I am in the middle of replacing my 94 CA engine with a 97 and I would really appreciate help with the following:

The cam synchros from both engines are 3-wire but the connector is different. Is the output the same so I can just splice my current harness and replace the connector?

The injectors look different but I don't know if I should put mine in as the ones in the "new" engine have far less miles on them. Overall the replacement engine is in pretty good shape, no leaks whatsoever and the explorer it came out from had 100K miles.

Is there anything else I should be taking care of? I know I need to change the exhaust manifolds and also know about the oil pan lacking a port for the oil level sensor which I'm still debating if I just kill it..

Any help is much appreciated
