Cam Swap?

So I know there is a lot of posts about cam swaps but after reading countless posts I haven't read any specific info on what is good to swap in. What I mean is what cam actually does work better whether aftermarket or a junkyard part. I'm interested in doing it and just havent found the info I need since it will be a weekend job because it is my DD. I have a stock 91 2.3 manual. I also think it would be nice to have a thread on whats interchangable and all the details for everyone to see and avoid posts like this. Thanks for any help.

Cams upgrades aren't what they used to be..............
When you had adjustable carburetors and distributors, choosing a different cam wasn't easy but was more straight forward in adjusting the engine for more air/fuel and sparking timing.

With computer controlled EFI and spark timing just swapping the cam won't do much and can even hurt performance.

+1 without a tuner, a cam swap will yeild you less than 20 hp max, and you will also have to change the fuel injectors and pump.
