I have a 2000 ford ranger 3.0 v6 2wd and the check egine light came. I took to Auto Zone to see what is was the code was P1309, definition AAMisfire disabled, Explanation AAECM disabled the misfire monitor. Probable cause: AA1 Verify the cam sensor is synchronized, AA2 ECM failure, and AA3 Verify input senor parameter are correct. I called an auto shop and he told me it would cost between 150 to 500. Does anyone know if this can by changing the cam sensor? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
