Fix it till its broke!
Ok so I redid my truck all led, everything! So it works fine and I'm using the ep27 flasher. The weird thing ever since then when then when off and in park if you step in the brake it will ding. Also the dash lights up at the same time, any idea what's wrong, nothing was rewired just bulbs changed out. Otherwise it works great, just weird that's all.

Bad tail/brake light replacement. When you step on the brakes it cross talks to the tail light circuit and brings on your dash lights. Check the wires that go into the socket on the replacement unit and make sure they aren't touching each other. If at the narrow point on the blade they touch that could cause your issue.

Also check if the tail lights come on when you hit the brakes.

Now this is on the bulb replacement... not the truck wiring.

I've only gone as far as replacing the tail light harness and lamp assemblies with those from a 1992 to use wedge base bulbs instead of the bayonet base bulbs.

I considered this a preparation step for switching to LED tail lights.
and I don't expect my blinkers to operate differently because the only load my flasher unit handles is turning the relays that power my tail lights on and off
(I grew weary of having a trailer wiring "issue" pop fuses in my truck)

I have switched to LEDs for interior lighting.

I'll check that out then. If I recall it's a wedge with a write in each side that makes contact with the socket. I don't remember it being overly long or out of place, but it's worth a look.

Yea mine have the wedge socket already, but it's cool that your going that far to prepare for it.

Checked the rear lights and they look good, any other ideas?
