AFAIK this may be a one time thing. I dont know how the machining business works fully but how he explained it to me is that he would need a minimum of 4 orders for it to be worth it for him to make these kits...I know that if someone has an issue like the stub shaft breaks or anything like that by any freak chance, he will sell that for $75 or replace free if it was part defect, but other than that as a total kit i think this will be a 1 time run for now, there isnt enough interest for him to stock them.

so thats 3 people committed. I just need 1 more and he will start the kits.

just need to find one more person committed to buying then once i have those people turn them over to duffy and he'll deal with billing and get the kits going. he said once he gets the 4 committed payments it will take about 1.5-2 weeks to make and get out iirc.

so if either of you know someone else willing to go in on it, let them know. Im ready to purchase right now and it sounds like you both are too!

i guess once we have 1 more person that wants one, Ill just contact him on here, let him know, see if he wants payment before or after then he will build em.

I havent had any issues with my kit from him, it was straight forward and easy to build and have had no issues. I will probably keep the current dual cases in the crawler in the corner of parts pile for a project later on.

Here is my thought: Yes his 1350/1354 kit he did offer for the lucky ones that got one, looked like a quality unit, but if he said he still makes them I dont believe it one bit, i had left a msg back when we were looking into this before starting to build my own and, advise i could purchase 3 of those units, left multiple msgs and send msg thru Pirate, no responses ever!!, If you go do some searches u can see he has poor customer service, this guy could sell allot of those if he could get his customerservice skills together. I'm not saying this product u want is not a good idea or that it wont be good quality, but i wouldnt count on getting it very fast, most review I have read were months and months before people got the 1350/1354 kits even after paying.
So be warned , good luck, if you do get one in timely manner please PM me cause I would like to know about it.

took me 2 weeks to get my kit. And duffy is a little hard to get ahold of. You have to realize he doesnt live off of these kits, hes a machine shop, and doublers there isnt a big market in the RBV kits.... he sells ALOT of jeep kits. He has been out of stock on the 1350/54 kits for quite some time AFAIK.

If you want to get ahold of him the best way is to call him or RRORC.

Sweetsride, Crawlin... im going to get ahold of duffy and let him know we have 3 confirmed orders.. see if he will run it that way, if there needs to be one more person, can I try and see if he will make 3 and let us pick up, not all of the slack... but some of the slack of the 4th person, $50 perhaps? I would think his $150 extra would cover the cost of making the kit, he would just lose out on the profit. Again, this is only if i cannot get him to agree on just running 3 kits.

Thoughts? I really want his damn kit.

I would go in on this but I just dropped 600 on a D60 and a tranny for a tow rig I am putting together........

Come on.... I know there is some one out there who wants a bullet proof twinstickable tcase in their RBV rig.......

I actually called him yesterday and left a message for him. Just saying that I was interested in the kit and had cash on hand to make it happen. Id still be in if it meant a lil extra $. If for any reason he doesnt run these I will get one of his old 1350/1354 kits. But 4:1 and twin stickage now that would just be awesome.
